The approach
The story is the last mile of the project.
Public communication is not decoration applied after the engineering is done. It is the difference between a programme that changes a region and a programme no one ever hears about — one that cannot be defended in a parliament, understood in a market town, or renewed in the next funding cycle.
We work the way a newsroom works: evidence first, then framing, then craft. We spend weeks in the places a programme touches before we write a line. We commission local crews and report in local languages. And we publish numbers we can stand behind, because a campaign that cannot be measured cannot be argued for.

Public communications for the public sector
Fidel Communications is a public communications agency: we make publicly funded work visible, understandable and trusted. From nationwide campaigns on energy access to community-level behaviour change, we turn institutional priorities into stories that reach millions of people across Ethiopia and East Africa.
Documentary videography and field production
Documentary videography is at the core of what we do — wind farms, substations, community dialogues. Our Ethiopian crews film on location in every region, in local languages, producing site films, interviews and campaign content to broadcast standard for delegations, donors and ministries.
Institutional communications in Africa
Fidel Communications works with delegations, embassies, multilateral bodies and government agencies operating in Ethiopia and across East Africa. We build the narrative, the campaign and the evidence trail that make a publicly funded programme understandable to the people it serves and defensible to the people who fund it.
NGO and development communications in Ethiopia
For NGOs, donors and implementing partners — GIZ, AFD, AECID, COOPI and the EU Delegation among them — we run field-led documentary production, behaviour change campaigns and reporting in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Somali, Afar and English, with local crews in every region we film.
